Assessing Paraprofessional Reimbursement Models Across States

Project Description

This project will analyze Medicaid claims data from eight U.S. states to compare reimbursement rates and policy consistency for services delivered by paraprofessional healthcare workers, including community health workers, health navigators, behavioral health technicians, and peer & recovery support specialists. Findings will inform actionable policy recommendations to support the financial sustainability and integration of the paraprofessional workforce into Medicaid-funded care models.
